A tense, dramatic medieval love story.
A knight’s protection…That she doesn’t want…or need?
Joan Lovent may be losing her sight but she refuses to lose her independence too. So when Sir Warin de Talmont tells her it’s too perilous to be out alone in the city, she doesn’t pay him any heed. But with threats surrounding them, she begins to value his protection and helps with his dangerous work in return. If only the powerful connection between them wasn’t so impossible to ignore!
From Harlequin Historical: Your romantic escape to the past.

These Harlequin Historicals continue to be like crack for me… Especially this series by Melissa Oliver.

This story was full of intrigue, espionage, and delicious romance. Enough to make this book totally engrossing and addicting.

As a bonus, you’ll get some of the other characters in here from the other books in this series that Oliver has written. Don’t be alarmed, however–this book stands alone and can be read without any confusion.

Joan’s physical disadvantages make her feel less-than. That paired up with Warin’s emotional damages makes for a love story that’s hard-earned.

These stories just keep getting better and better!

  1. oooh this one sounds so interesting. The only complaint I have over these books is that they are way too short for me haha but I love how they deliver on time eras and settings that we don’t get in full length novels anymore

    Glad you liked this one!
