Going straight from rereading Iluminae, I dove into Gemina as quickly as I could.
I’ll admit that I was skeptical at first. I really just wanted more Katy and Ezra! Those two were magic! Ohhhhh, but, wait…
You mean I could have two brand new characters that would make me love them just as much?! Okay. Yeah. It happened.
Where Katy and Ezra were innocence and goodness, Hanna and Nik are rebelliousness and damaged. That doesn’t mean they’re not as great. In fact, I found myself laughing at more of their interactions than the former pair’s.
As I said in my review for Illuminae, this part is all a part of a grand story. Each story is weaved together and joins seamlessly and brilliantly.
