The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

Every week we’ll discuss a new topic. This week’s topic?

Tell us about a book that you didn’t like and why we shouldn’t read it (as nicely and respectfully as possible).

I have so rarely ever not finished or liked a book. In fact, I think that sometimes I’m not critical enough of books. But, one book, in particular, that I’ve recently tried to read and couldn’t finish was Driving Layne by Renea Porter. The sad thing, is that the story itself was SO promising but without a decent editor I was distracted by inconsistencies that a good editor would have caught. I just couldn’t even try about halfway through. And it got SO many great reviews. I am certain with a good editor, it could be a great story, however. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I hate it whenever a book has such an interesting story, but the lack of editing makes it hard to even read. As much as I love my Indie books, that's the one thing that I hate about them.

  5. It so pays to have the best editor one can afford, I would find that more than distracting. Thanks for stopping by, new GFC follower 🙂
