St Aidan: a cosy Cornish village where friendships are made for life and it’s always cocktail hour somewhere…
A clean slate in the world’s cosiest cottage by the sea…
When Gwen Starkey and her best friend, Ella Simpson, arrive in St Aidan to take on a cottage renovation, it’s the fresh start they both so desperately need. But when their new adventure begins with them unintentionally breaking into their neighbour, Ollie Lancaster’s cottage – thinking it’s their new home – and Gwen accidentally flashing the gorgeous Ollie before they flee, the life-long friends realise that life in Cornwall is going to be anything but quiet!
They also quickly discover that they’re in over their heads and it’s going to take a village to turn their cottage’s narrow walls into the luxurious hideaway of their dreams. St Aidan is full of colourful characters just waiting to welcome them, if only Gwen and Ella can find the courage to start leaving the past behind them…

This was an adorable addition to the Little Cornish Kitchen series. It features new characters Gwen and Ella who come to Cornwall in the hopes of restoring a seaside cottage.

Both Ella and Gwen are nursing broken hearts and deal with that pain differently. Gwen, meeting Ollie is incredibly hesitant with Ollie at first–even when he makes overtures (usually regarding a sweater) towards her that at least shows that he’s intrigued by her.

The story is much more than romance, however. As Ella and Gwen embark on life-changing events that bring them new friends, and dreams that come true.

You definitely don’t have to have read any of the previous books in this series–although, they do add to the enjoyment.

Jane Linfoot is a delightful author with an impeccable ability to draw the reader in and guide us through her world of romance, friendship, and character growth.

About Jane Linfoot

Jane Linfoot is a best selling author, who lives in a cottage, up the steepest hill in Derbyshire, with her family, their pets, and an astonishing number of spiders. Although she loves seeing cow noses over the garden wall, she’s happy she can walk to a supermarket. Jane grew up in North Yorkshire where she spent a lot of her childhood avoiding horizontal gales blowing off the sea, and wrote her first book by accident, while working as an architect, and renovating country houses. While she loves to write feel good books that let readers escape, she’s always surprised to hear her stories make people laugh, admits to (occasionally) crying as she writes, and credits her characters for creating their own story lines. Jane’s garden would be less brambly if she wasn’t on Facebook and Twitter so often. On days when she wants to be really scared, she rides a tandem. She has lots of Pinterest boards relating to her novels.
