‘Everyone needs saving,’ she whispered back.
Kalem stirred and then he was sitting, those silver eyes watching her. His arm was on the bed, her hand inches away from his skin. ‘What do you need saving from, princess?’ he whispered to her within the darkness of the room.
Terra focused on those silver eyes.
The noises from the townhouse vanished, silence taking over, falling over everything like a sheet.
‘Everything,’ she said to the darkness of the room.

J.F.Johns is 25 years old and was born and raised in Spain. She studied English Literature and Creative Writing at ARU in Cambridge, UK.
